In continued support of Brigada Eskwela 2024, LEYECO V, in collaboration with ECOGEN Renewable Energy Corporation and MDI Meadowland Developers, Inc., has successfully completed the turnover of solar lamps and electrical materials, the installation of a lamp post, and the electrical assessment of classrooms at San Ignacio Elementary School in Brgy. San Ignacio, Kananga, Leyte. This school is one of the host communities of the 2MW Bao Hydroelectric Power Project.

The initiative included the replacement of damaged outlets and the clearing and filling of the school entrance and exit. These efforts aim to enhance the school's infrastructure and provide a safer and more conducive learning environment for learners.

The event was attended by LEYECO V Board Director for District VII (Kananga & Matag-ob), Dir. Arnulfo A. Hermoso; CETD Manager, Engr. Michael R. Guiñarez; Project Engineer Sybil Ceballos; CETD staff; and the PR team. The clearing and excavation were made possible by ECOGEN, led by Construction Manager Engr. Ramil Busa and Safety Officer Mr. Johnbert Poncol in partnership with Meadowland Developers, Inc., represented by Engr. Joseph Tangian.

The School Head Ms. Else N. Caliwan expressed heartfelt gratitude for the donations and improvements, signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to formalize the collaboration. This initiative exemplifies Cooperative Social Responsibility and reaffirms the commitment to support school programs, enhancing educational opportunities for learners and investing in a brighter future for all.

The collective efforts of these organizations highlight the importance of community involvement and partnership in creating sustainable educational environments. Through such projects, they continue to make a positive impact on the lives of learners and educators in San Ignacio, Kananga, Leyte.
